During this short course in prestigious Central Saint Martins we learned how to work in groups to create and organize a fashion editorial, from researching trends or creating a storyboard to choosing models, photographers, stylists and a good location. And with the help of our tutor Schelay McCarter we learned all we need to know to do a real shoot.
Focusisng on the suit trend as our main concept, also incorporating trend details such as high waisted trousers and long gloves in this F/W 2015 editorial shoot. Showcasing these trends on a girl and her relationship with a pair of slim twin brothers. Only giving small hints of their playful relationship through the series of images that look as though they are taking them by each other. At first it seems just like a normal relationship scenario, until the viewer is introduced to the set of twins in one image, later seeing she has relations with both brothers.
The clothing is refined in contrast to the styling which is modern and edgy, all clothes and accessories are from high end brands and completely black. Their hair and makeup is clean, natural and minimal, to emphasise the modernity of the look.
The shoot will take place at an industrial style studio space, with an option of shooting on either white or concrete walls, with no extra props besides an old camera. The images would be shot using flash photography, creating images that look as though the viewer is taking them.
